Fatherless children are at a dramatically greater risk of drug and alcohol abuse

The negative effects of fatherlessness on children is a reality that we all must come to grips with. Daily, we see the consequences of this epidemic play out on social media and the news.

Our children are under “new age” pressures and they don’t know how to properly manage conflict.

CHAMPION PROGRAM (MENTORING)

The Champion Program is an initiative dedicated to assisting the under-resourced public school system with cultivating safe and effective learning environments for the youth. The relationships often extend outside the walls of the school to engage students in their homes, churches, and communities. We believe that every boy should have a mentor who can show them how to become a man. We believe that every girl should have a mentor who can show them how to carry herself as a young lady. We provide mentors for boys and girls who have a deficit of healthy influence in their lives. We believe that God can transform a child’s story simply by identifying men and women who will provide positive influence in their lives by regularly spending time with them. Our vision for the Champion Program is to partner children with positive people who can relate to journey.

SUPPORTING FAMILIES

We do what we can to support families in every way. We serve, we parent, we cook, we give, we educate, we encourage. We acknowledge that singles moms are raising up their children with very little support. We want to come along side them and support them in any way possible. Our vision of supporting families is to provide a supportive community where single moms can flourish as they lead and provide for their families.

FATHER TO FATHER (F2F) CONNECTION

Fatherhood can be a frightening journey, and new fathers often get discouraged due to the demands of the job, especially if the new father never had a father to teach him the ropes. The father to father connection is all about educating, supporting, and encouraging fathers. What better way to learn to be a father than from other fathers? Let’s face it, the statistics tell us that when we don’t do our jobs as fathers, we invite strife into the lives of our children, we force the mothers of our children into an economically disadvantaged situation, and in turn, we destroy our communities. Our vision of the father to father connection is to increase the number of committed fathers in every community.
